“The H.O.P. Rabbits were commissioned by Hall Financial in 2000 to inhabit the landscape of the Texas Sculpture Garden. The native Texas Jackrabbits are placed to interact with each other as well as the visitors to the sculpture garden, and to add a little more “HOP” to Hall Office Park.” - David Iles, Artist
About the Artist:
David Iles lives and works in Bolivar, Texas. He has a M.F.A. in sculpture from the University of North Texas. A native Texan, he divides his time between casting for himself and other artists in his foundry, Bolivar Bronze, which he built in 1996.
Mr. Iles has received numerous public and private commissions for his art including Trammell Crow, Frito Lay, Hall Financial Group, the Irving Art Association, the Dallas Arboretum and the University of North Texas. His sculpture has been shown in regional exhibitions including Denton, Dallas, San Antonio, San Marcos, Irving, Beaumont, Sherman, Galveston, Fort Worth, and Houston. Nationally his work has been shown Arkansas, Colorado, Hawaii and others.
